Accessing Interior Design Journals

It is important to learn to access resources electronically. Online access to Interior Design magazines can occur in the following three different ways:

Through Journal Search

  1. Go to the Thrift Library page, and click OneSearch.
  2. Along the gold banner on the top is a button that says "Journal Search".
  3. It will take you to a new search bar that allows you to type the specific title of the journal.
  4. Click on the title, choose your database, and explore.

Visiting the Website

  1. Pull up your search engine of choice.
  2. Type in the title of periodical, adding "magazine" or "journal" to the end.
  3. Click on listed results, and check their archives, magazine listing, articles, or reviews.
  4. Be careful of notices in case it will only allow you an allotted amount of articles to read before needing to pay--which you should never have to do. Contact me instead for further aid.

Checking the Local Library

There are two methods at play here: in person and online.

     In-Person

  1. Go to the Anderson County Public Library with your library card (or receive it there)
  2. Head towards the middle row of shelves on the first floor.
  3. Find the latest editions of the magazines, usually in alphabetical order.
  4. Feel free to ask the librarians there for clarifications on later editions

     Online

  1. Go to the Anderson County Public Library home page with your library card.
  2. Click on the picture beneath “Read eBooks, Audiobooks and Magazines with Libby"
  3. Sign that you do have a library card and sign in. Then, use the search bar to look up the magazine of your choosing (make sure it has the symbol for “Series” beside it).
  4. Click on the periodical after sorting to what you are looking for to borrow with your card and enjoy.
