About Me

I was born and raised in Upstate South Carolina. After a few years of living in Pennsylvania and Virginia, my husband and I returned to South Carolina where I began library school. My lifelong love of books and reading led me to this wonderful career that I have loved for over 20 years. After working for several years in public and public school libraries, I accepted a position here at Anderson University where I have served for 8 years. The library work that I love the most is what happens behind the scenes: acquisitions and collection management. I really enjoy purchasing materials for the library and managing the print and electronic resources that we provide to the staff, faculty and students here at Anderson.

Personally, I am married to my wonderful husband and am mother to two young adults. I enjoy needlework of all types, particularly cross-stitch and knitting. I also enjoy reading, especially historical fiction, and traveling with my family. I am an active member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church where I participate in the Sunday School and Prayer ministries.
