Video Support for Faculty: Home

Why Video?

Whether entertaining viewers or demonstrating mitosis, dance, or a well delivered curve ball, videos are a great boon to teaching.

The library has access to over 343,000 streaming videos.

Find out how to find them and load them into Canvas or the Library's Guides.

We also have over 1,400 DVDs which can still be used in face to face teaching (but not online). Students can even check out a DVD player or DVD attachment for their computer for 3 days.

FYI - While DVDs may be shown in the classroom, they many not be copied and loaded into Canvas.

Other Video Databases

In addition to the large video databases listed in the Tabs at the top of the page are more than a dozen mixed use and special topic databases. Some, like Credo Reference and ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health are full text databases with limited video content. Others, like Learn 360 and NAXOS Video library, have significant content, but are narrow in scope and appropriate to a single major.
