Overall Score 2012-13 - 2016-17


The survey is the second highest since the opening of the Thrift Library in 2007.

Overall score increased from 3.95 to 4.01.

  • Highest Score - 4.5 - I understand the rules of plagiarism.
  • Lowest Score - 3.6 - The library hours are convenient to my schedule

Interestingly Classroom students who visit and use the library at a much higher rate than online students (3.52 vs. 1.57) have a much higher opinion of its Staff and Services (4.02 vs. 3.85) and of its Facilities (4.05 vs. 3.88).

Greatest increase / decrease in the past five years:

  • 0.34 increase - Library computers are up to date and in working order.
  • 0.10 decrease – Printed materials are easy to find.

17% of Seniors report never having a library orientation. 

14% say they have had 4 or more.

The Thrift Library expects to add over 100 books this summer as the result of suggestions provided by the Library Survey. Many have already been ordered.

All suggestions which apply to other areas - Faculty, Administration, IT Department, Housekeeping, etc. - have been passed on to the relevant party.
