Google Scholar: Getting Started: Google Scholar vs. OneSearch

Keep in Mind

The Thrift Library recommends that you begin your research in OneSearch, and then continue it in Google Scholar - if you need additional information.

You are MUCH MORE LIKELY to find free full text resources in OneSearch.

Keep in mind that neither tool is truly comprehensive and that the library has other tools beyond these two discovery engines to find additional resources.

You Should Turn on the Thrift LIbrary in Google Scholar

When asked to choose a library link, select Anderson University Find It @ Thrift Library

NOTE: Your results will lead you to some of the Thrift Library's Full Text, but not all.

When Google Scholar cannot find content at the Thrift Library it will attempt to lead you to open access content and to content behind paywalls. Much of the Thrift Library's content is invisible to Google Scholar.
