Academic Background

  • Master of Library and Information Science, University of South Carolina, 2005
  • Bachelor of Arts in English, Southern Wesleyan University, 2002
  • I have thoroughly enjoyed working in academic libraries for the past 20 years.  I began my career at North Greenville University as a Technical Services Assistant and later Reference Librarian.  In 2006, I was offered a position at my alma mater, Southern Wesleyan University, where I served as Technical Services Librarian for 15 years before being promoted to Director of Library Services.  I recently joined the AU Thrift Library team as Head of Access Services and look forward to serving a new campus community.

About Me

I am an avid reader, especially of mysteries and historical fiction, and usually have multiple books going at any given time.  I love connecting with others over books and participate in several book groups.  My husband and I have a teenage son and almost-teenage daughter who keep us busy with band activities.  I love all things British, particularly the Great British Baking Show and Benedict Cumberbatch.  In my free time, I enjoy baking, playing board games with my family, and being involved with my church.
