History Resources and Research: Periodicals

Periodicals

Journal and magazine articles are a great source of information.  There are several ways to access these articles. One is through the electronic databases we have here at Thrift Library.

You can access historical documents through bound periodicals and through journals and magazines we have off- site. The bound periodicals are found on the first floor, toward the back of the library. They are shelved by title. These cannot be checked out at this time, but if you locate an article you can photocopy or scan it for your use.

You can also access current articles using our current periodicals. located on the left as you enter the library. The most current issue is displayed on the outside of the shelf and issues from the current year are located under the shelf. This is a great way to get up-to-date information on a topic.
