- Dragon Dictation (record your speech as text, email it to anyone)
- iTranslate (language translation)
- Calculator (there are hundreds of basic and scientific calculator apps available, some free, some at a fraction of the cost of comparable scientific calculators)
- Evernote (Note taking/voice memos and more, stored online; accessible form anywhere. Requires a free account)
- iBrainstorm (drawing/brainstorming/whiteboard app)
- Adobe Ideas (simple drawing app)
- bookstores/book readers apps: iBooks Amazon Kindle, Google Books
- etexts: Coursesmart, Inkling (require free online accounts. Both will allow/provide digital “desk” copies or sample chapters.)
- Bible Apps: Bible, Logos
- Flipboard (interactive, personalized new magazine)
- Instapaper (save web pages to read later – requires a free online account)
