The target url is the direct url or the source url of the video or ebook that you need to use. Please note that some video or ebook platforms do not need further "Athenizing". This note is VERY IMPORTANT!

Best Bet: Use a permalink from the database to link out to the article that you want to use in Canvas.
Alternative: Post a pdf of the article with full citation included.
Here is an easy "work around" for grabbing OpenAthens links from within OneSearch.
Your students will be taken to OneSearch where they will see the bibliographic record for their resource. They can then click on the Read Online button.
If off campus, they will be asked to log in.
