Faculty Library Survey, 2020-21: Comments

  • I haven’t used the library very much.  An informative hand-out or online video of what the library has to offer professors and how to “work” the library would be very helpful for adjunct and new professors. Try these links -
  • My liaison (Fred G.) and others have been exceptionally helpful in easing my transition to digital course materials during COVID
  • thank you
  • I'm a brand-new part-time online instructor and my few interactions with our librarians has been very positive. They have been eager to help me and my students.
  • I would like to set up a library time for my class to gain instruction on finding scholarly sources for a history research assignment. Please contact your Library Liaison. We would love to present.
  • The library has made it possible to continue my work despite COVID, and has gone above and beyond this past year. Thank you for all you do!
  • Would the library consider acquiring access to JSTOR and Oxford Scholarship? Adding new databases can be a slow and uncertain process as they require budget increases. Here is some background information you can start with including a form to get the ball rolling.
  • Kent is always VERY helpful! Thank you for all you do to support the COE.
  • Can we get access to new databases, specifically Web of Science database from Reuters. Here is our procedure for adding new databases including a database request form. Keep in mind that new databases require budget increases. If you contact your subject liaison, Betsy Elsner, she can help you shepherd your request through the collection development process.
  • I want to give a big pat on the back to Betsy Elsner, who goes to great lengths every semester to make my course a success.
  • I teach in the online graduate nursing department. I am very appreciative for our library resources. Because of these resources, I have been able to change all my classes so that they use online texts and resources. This is wonderful for the students. Additionally, recently, they questioned faculty about if we desired any other texts. I sent in a request and they immediately responded that this was purchased and available for the students. Thank you!
  • Thank you for all you do!
  • Thank you so much for everything you all have done in helping us to transition during this time.

The library faculty and staff appreciate your many compliments.
