1. If you want a physical book, start with OneSearch. Select Thrift Library Catalog. Conduct your search. This does not guarantee you will find books instead of eBooks since OneSearch calls them both "books" but it will greatly increase your odds.
Notice in this example the presence of a Call Number. Only physical books have call numbers.
2.If you cannot find a suitable physical book using the Thrift Library Catalog limiter, you can switch to the PASCAL Delivers limiter. This allows you to search the 12 million books found in the catalogs of all of South Carolina's college libraries. You can then borrow these books via the PASCAL Delivers service.

WorldCat - The WorldCat search engine contains 1.5 billion titles and covers 10,000 libraries worldwide. It contains citations to books, ebooks, videos, music and music scores, dissertations, and even some articles. No full text is available, only citations! You can create an account in WorldCat, if you wish, by setting up a user name and password. but you do not have to have one to conduct searches. However, account holders can create and name lists, share lists, print lists, view other people's lists, and compose notes to describe your lists. Also, WorldCat generates citations in APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, and Turabian styles. You can also sign up for a RSS feed
You can borrow the titles you find in WorldCat through Interlibrary Loan. Most loans arrive within 7 days and can be kept 2 to 3 weeks.
BROWSING THE SHELVES
Library of Congress System – The Library of Congress System arranges books (as well as scores and audio visuals) on the shelf according to subject. Music materials are stored in the M’s. There are three main categories.

These main categories are then divided into major and minor topics.
